Overall the room is nicely furnished, generous-sized and includes a living area and a kitchen. The view of the pristine garden is LOVELY.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, with a sports bar nearby that had lively music till late in the night. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed like ironing facilities, heating, and a sitting area. The free Wi-Fi in the room was a great bonus, allowing me to stay connected. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent room service and housekeeping. I also appreciated the beautiful garden area where I could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. this place exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it to others.

After going through the Catlins, I stayed here for 1 night, on my way to Stewart Island. It was very comfortable and luxurious at a very reasonable rate. It was great to be able to wash and dry my washing at no extra cost. There were lots of food /eating places close by, one being right opposite. Everything I needed was within walking distance. Debbie (in the office) was very friendly and helpful - made me feel at home. I would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at the Homestead Villa Motels many times over the last 10 years and prefer not to stay anywhere else. If you want friendly service, great bed, and comfortable, clean rooms then this motel is a must.

Nearby pub was somewhat noisy on a Saturday night, but not really a big issue.

I arrived late, after the checkin facility had closed. The after-hours attendant was very helpful and accommodating. As a result of this I gained a very positive image of the hotel.

The hotel is over the road from a pub which had loud music playing until midnight. The room had good sound insulation as long as all the windows were closed, so this did not become an issue.

During our recent holiday, we had a good experience staying at a motel in Southland. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering complementary towels and a welcome pack on arrival. The motel was located in a convenient area near local shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed having electric blankets to keep us warm during the cold nights.

We did find that the sofa bed in the room was uncomfortable to sleep on, causing some back pain for one of us. we requested milk for our beverages, but it was not delivered to our room, so we had to purchase our own.

Three of us women stayed together. We had a variety of sleeping choices,all were happy and slept very well. We had thought there was a shortage of mirrors in the bedrooms until we were almost leaving and discovered the mirror inside the wardrobe door.One door did not open.We liked the space, kitchen facilities, cleanliness, warmth and we got some great Kiwi Host treatment.

Overall it is a wonderful and exceptionally friendly hotel and we truly enjoyed the stay, the location was exceptionally nice close to beautiful park. Staff is genuinely helpful and extremely helpful and you can park your car on site.
